Project Description
A complex project, to house the canoe-slalom games for Athens 2004 Olympic Games, constructed in the open space of the old Athens Airport Elliniko. The complex includes the following structures:rn
- Reinforced concrete buildings
- 600m long water channel
- 60m long, 5-span bridge
- 23m & 40m long wooden footbridges
- 2 conveyors belts
- Under- and above-ground pumping stations and water tanks
- Grandstands
- Retrofitting of existing RC building with concrete jacketing
